Name Order

Also known as ship order, left right, A x B.

sad spongebob

I like to organize ships that I like by name order, especially because I like one-sided relationships. In a LeftRight name like SpongeSquid, Left denotes giver of affection, and right denotes receiver of affection.

I don't always have fixed relationship types for cartoons. It's usually for pairings that have a large gap (age, size, power), or ones I have a strong attachment to.

Examples

Many of these examples fall under the younger x older or student x teacher tropes.

  • Spongebob x Squidward, or spongesquid, would denote that Spongebob harasses Squidward (WITH LOVE!) while Squidward is T-posing blankly and getting shot with heart arrows.
  • Scout x Spy, or scoutspy, would denote that Scout is throwing baseballs at Spy's head while Spy is tied to the cart tracks on a payload map.
  • Spider-man x Green Goblin would denote that Spider-Man puts his radioactive spider sperm in the Green Goblin's goblin butt. In this case, the Goblin is the one chasing after Spider-Man's confused affections, but the name order denotes simple top/bottom positions. How can you tell the difference at first glance?! You can't. So always always someone's preferred name order before you assume!!

Vocabulary

  • No riba = No reversal. That means I don't want their personalities reversed – I don't want to see Squidward to harass Spongebob.
  • Uke = my object of affection. I target this object with affection from my heart, and sometimes into their butthole.
  • Snake fujoshi = “Has a fixed uke: multiships, but their favorite can only bottom”. A type of shipper from an online comic by _k_a_o_m_o_j_i_.

Why?

Because I like it. Sometimes you want to be the fister and not the fistee.

If you don't do steiner_math when organizing relationships, that's cool! Heck, we can even have different ship orders. Please just respect my preferred relationship types :)
