Vercel
I host my personal site on Vercel. Here's how you can do that too.
Pros:
- It's free for the hobby plan, and I haven't hit the limit in 5 years
- You can easily upload your entire site without fiddling with file transfers (like neocities)
- Free domain connections - you just pay for the domain ($12 a year for scumsuck.com).
- You can have a LOT of sites. I have like 10 right now, like fujofans.scumsuck.com, mylk.scumsuck.com, and so on.
Cons
- It's some corporate host meant for tech dudes, so you'll see ai shit everywhere, and it's harder to read how to actually use the site if you're just some dork who plays minecraft like me
- I think the only connected git options are github
so if you hate microsoft… there's that.
How
You can use analori's method, which is with the Github for desktop app.
I use VScodium's built in source control tab.
Remember to manually deploy your site! Otherwise, you will see an error message if your site is not deployed.
