Blaugust 22: Ode to a fella, John Redcorn's playlist edition
I found some of the John Redcorn playlists online a bit lacking, only being 10 songs long or missing crucial things like Nancy's ringtone or Winger. So I compiled my own playlist from this reddit post, this youtube comment, tune find, and the wiki for King of The Hill.
This playlist is a combination of John's music that he listens to, the music him and Nancy have sex to, the other character's boomer tastes, and song/band references. It's mostly 70's-80's dad rock. Now, what DOES dad rock mean to John Redcorn's character?
Blaugust 21: Ode to a fella (baby daddy edition)
Welcome back to Ode to a Fella! We left off yesterday after talking about the traits of fellas with long hair, strong nose, and big boobs. Let's get into the Baby Daddy part of the fellas! The fellas being a specific type of cartoon fella that includes John Redcorn, Nathan Explosion, Brock Samson, and Wolverine.
I spent last night watching some older episodes of KOTH with my good friend Shane, specifically the Big Mountain Fudgecake episode. As a result, I drew some band yaoi of John Redcorn and Dale Gribble. They're in a band together, how could I not? And John puts on some leather pants and unbuttons his silk shirt for their debut in the episode :)
Blaugust 20: Ode to a fella
I finished drawing that John Redcorn and Dale yaoi frotting pic I said I'd draw. So I finished one (1) thing on my to-do list. Hooray! I'm number 5 in the AO3 tag. Who will be number 6?! wink wank.
While watching some clips of King of The Hill, we noticed some similarities between some of my favorite characters in various cartoons. Let's go through them.
Blaugust 19: King of The Hill
Shane sent me a clip of the new KOTH1) season. The clip dispalys Joseph being a scout and thinking he's white.
And this clip inspired us to watch the new season of KOTH. It's 10 episodes dropped on Hulu. It's pretty good! I'll try not to spoiler entire episode plots, but I'll talk about specific things that happen. Also I'll talk a little about South Park. Both shows are social satire, so I will reference current politics. If you don't want to read about “politics”, you should click the close button on this page.
Blaugust 18: I am bathing
I don't often bathe, because I grew up just taking quick showers and being told not to waste time or water in the bathroom LOL. I just saw people on tv and movies do it and thought it must be the ultimate decadence.
The few times I did take a bath, it was always at my cousins' apartment. I always had fun going over there as a kid cuz they got to things that I saw people do on TV: make pancakes, play Nintendo 64, hang out at their neighbor's house, chat on AIM, and yeah, take an hour just steaming in the bathtub. I don't have a subject for this blog post LOL i guess I am just talking about feeling like I learned about the world by watching TV and movies, rather than actually experiencing it? Or just yapping about MEMORIESSSSS2)
Blaugust 17th: to-do list
If you know me, you know I love writing to-do lists and leaving them EVERYWHERE. I have one on my now page. I have a drawing list. I have a zine_ideas list. I have my commissions list. I write lists on blorbo. I write lists in discord. I write lists in Obsidian.
And now I shall write lists here, in a publically accountable blog that I can tell Shane to check.
Blaugust 16th: stuffy
I woke up today with a stuffy nose, extremely dehydrated, dry throat. I have chugged a bottle of gatorate, and 3 cups of water, and had a steamy showered. I am still stuffy and leaky. Maybe it is allergies. It is fairly hot outside. Maybe I should wear a mask to sleep LOL. That's all. I am going to try to sleep it off. Kuso mini blog post for today. No comments.
Blaugust 15: Rubber gloves
Rubber gloves rock for all purposes. Breathing masks also rock. I curse everyone who made fun of me for wearing them! I would like to practice writing low stakes blog posts. So here we go.
