 The "Nancy's Boys" episode is such a good basis for this pairing.  It's really fun that Dale's obsessed with John, and completely trusts him, and acts as his hype-man for their band and John's sexcapades.  And I like that John has conflicting feelings about Dale being the weird white man whose stolen his child, but considering Dale a true friend.

+I love their contrasting personalities in their Disassociative Identity Disordered system.  I love that God seems cruel to Dog at first with his actions and words.  But eventually he admits that he cares about Dog, not just as a host body but as a little brother ((Courier: "You care about him." 	God: "He's my brother - kin. Without him, I wouldn't exist. Maybe I was nothing more than his conscience, trying to rein him in. Useless.")).  You could have fun with them sharing the same body!  You could do an AU where they somehow have separate bodies.  You can do pseudo-incestuous stuff!
