 The songs are pretty good!  60's-70's punk that Dale would have grown up with, and thus internalized as part of his mentally ill + socially anxious adult personality.  He wasn't a cool jock so he wouldn't have been into cock rock like Hank Hill or John Redcorn.  It works as both music that fits the character, and music that.. well fits the story.

 **The Cramps - "Garbage Man" :** More psychobilly freakouts.  Ironic because The Cramps are damn Yankees from New York, but they've appropriated the hillbilly trashiness for their own image.  Hey, Dale would totally be a Texan trailer trash meth head if he didn't have Nancy as his sugar mommy.  And a garbage man is much like an exterminator, they're dirty jobs that ain't respected.  This is actually making realize that Dale Gribble and Weevil Underwood have similar parasitic nasal personalities... Huh.  Well, guess that makes them semes.

-Dead Boys - "I Need Lunch" :** Quirky sexist glam punk anthem!  It's about fucking girls, calling them bitch, and punching them.  And then telling them to get you a sammich.  Quite Cotton Hill in personality!  And Dale has a strange obsession with Cotton, it fits that he would idolize this sort of masculinity while actually being Nancy's little cuck pet.  And that makes me think how a lot of cock rock/hair metal anthems  (ala John Redcorn's type) are very much in the vein of "i just want to fuck, no romance", and get rightfully called out for misogyny, but they RARELY have explicit lyrics about violently beating your girl up... Girls have different tastes in dudes!

 **GG Allin - "Bored To Death" :** Suicidal nihilistic kuso punk anthem!  With a little bit of homophobia too - "I don't like faeries and I don't like fools", which is funny when the story includes Dale forcibly kissin' John.  I actually haven't heard GG Allin's music before, seems fairly standard 1 minute long punk music, not as sonically offensive as people have said it is.  Listen, there's no such thing as an original idea, but there IS such thing as you being one of the two people on earth doing that thing.  Like, now that GG Allin's dead, we don't have as many people eating their shit onstage and shooting themselves.

 Seriously, I think Dale was that eccentric nerd that was into not-so-cool music that would get him swirlied by jocks in high school.  I'm not joking about him probably loving Oingo Boingo fr!  My own experience with liking not-so-cool music is weird cuz my taste was a mix of the intentional sonic dissonance of Oingo Boingo and Buckethead and Strapping Young Lad, crossed with the same good ol' dad rock that John Redcorn listens to.  In my case, I wasn't BULLIED really, but everyone thought I was weird for listening to "old" music, music without lyrics, and... well, just heavy metal in general.  I distinctly remember some kid named Kai scoffing when I connected my ipod to the speakers being like "pffft.  ch-CH-ch-Changes, that's so gay".  I think a lot of normie people like David Bowie now... especially gay kids calling him a bi icon or something.
