Sergio Valente Jeans
Was watching KOTH as is canon typical of Shane and I. I was intrigued by a random pop culture reference in episode, Peggy's Headache, s3e3.
Nancy: I have my reasons..
Peggy: Yes, and I've seen those reasons packed into his Sergio Valente jeans.
It's a surface level “John Redcorn has a big penis or nice ass” joke (again with Nancy's ass obsession!), but diving into the particulars of the brand a character wears is fun cuz, well, there's a different kinda man that wears Levis versus like… True Religion or something.
80's
Long story short, they were a “designer brand” of jeans popular in the 70's and 80's. I have to assume in the 80's and 90's, Sergio Valente jeans were known for being a bit too tight and slutty.

Since I wasn't even a twinkle of spermiotic existence yet in the 80's, I have to gauge this from other cultural references to the pants! As well as redditor comments on the good ol' days. See title of this post about their "many provocative ads", and well, look at their print ads full of naked dudes and ladies!
I would compare this a bit to how American Apparel ads in the 00's were also overtly sexual, but I think AA was more of a mall brand than designer brand. I think brands like Guess are similar in both the 80's era cusp of sexual ads and fashionable booty poppin' fit of jeans?
I would also compare it to the advertising of Abercrombie and Hollister in the 2000's - again with the obviously sexual ads full of man nipples, but also what it says about John as a character.
Denim Character
Someone like Hank Hill would be proud of made in USA Levis or Wranglers for their cool cowboy and worker reputation. Someone like John Redcorn, who's a bit of a fuckboy, would be a bit more conscious of what girls/clients would think is a sexier brand for him to wear, or even have one of his sugar mommy clients buy tight jeans for him to wear!
A Hank Hill rugged type would absolutely do an Oblivion snarl at the thought of wearing juvenile fashion jeans that show your whole cock and balls and asshole from something like Abercrombie or in this case Sergio Valente HAHA. But, again, this is for the ladies. Like Prince once said, you don't care what men think about the high heels cuz the women LOVE THEM.
Says a lot about Johnny that he's still wearing 80's denim in the late 90's and early 2000's. After all, he still hangs onto classic rock and his days as a Winger roadie! He peaked early but he's still tryna be sexy in his late 30's and early 40's. Which can be seen as pathetic in the same way as a middle aged person whose glory days were high school football, and everyone else is side-eying them for being out of date with music and fashion… Hey man, I think 80's stuff is still cool!! (The Wrestler quote) Yeah def leppard man!!!
John's jeans look like a straight cut, not skinny or flared or bootcut. So still a bit more “ruggedly” masculine compared to other 80's rock guys wearing painted on denim.
Ass or Balls
And now my final question: is Peggy referring to John's ass or balls tucked in his Sergio Valente jeans?
I thought cock n balls at first, because that would be the most obvious straight reading of the line. Nancy's reason for cheating on Dale is because Dale is lacking in some physical areas, right? But honestly Nancy DOES still have sex with and love Dale after John breaks up with her. So it's not all cock n' balls that she's after.
So then, it must be ass. She loves Dale in a thong though his ass is white and small. She loves Hank's wiggling testosterone fueled ass. And well, we know Dale loves John Redcorn's round and muscular butt. Whose to say Nancy hasn't noticed that asset of John's body too?!?
This suits my Nancy pegging agenda. I think Nancy, John, and Dale are all technically vers. But what else is a lady gonna do with her ass lust?? Anal, that's what. So let Nancy tap that ass of both Dale and John. Even if Dale's are hidden in Walmart denim and John's are emphasized in his Sergio Valente jeans.

Fascinating read, thanks for sharing. You're making me want to watch KotH.
Now's a great time to get into KOTH, the newest 14th season is not a bad intro at all. But any episode from Seasons 1-7 are pretty funny, and there's not THAT much continuity that you have to learn about :3c pick a favorite character and watch all the episodes focusing on them lolol
